With the Fed press conference this week and gold closing at new all-time highs, today King World News interviewed Rick Santelli, CNBC’s Business News on-air Editor. When asked about the run in gold and silver Santelli remarked, “I always like to let the market speak for themselves, I don’t get into any hot water that way. Let’s put it this way, the gold and silver market activity, especially since it’s escalated since the Fed meeting on Wednesday, it has to be a thumbs down vote for everything our central bank is doing. In essence it is moving away from the dollar specifically for reasons of not a good taste in its mouth regarding how this is going to fare for the continued value of the greenback against other stronger currencies.”
